Tomorrow we will hold a day of games at West Shamokin high School and there are a couple of notes that need highlighted for the day.

First, kids can wear their traditional uniforms, including cleats to play tomorrow. While the surface is artificial turf, it is played on and treated as natural grass, so standard cleats apply.

Second, because of the artificial surface, no drinks are permitted on the playing field except for water. No Gatorade, pop or juice will be allowed on the field to prevent spills that may stain or contaminate the surface. While pops and Gatorade may be served at the concession stand, they will not be allowed to be carried onto the field.

Lastly, there will not be a break between the games being played, so teams will have to warm up in a different manner. All teams can show up in their standard time ahead of their game and plan to warm up in the end zone areas of the field where play is not happening. Upon arrival, gather your team and find an open area of the end zones where you can get your team ready to play. All games will start at the marked time in order to maintain the schedule for the day.

As mentioned before, there will be a full concession stand hosted by the West Shamokin soccer boosters, as well as a basket raffle. Additionally, UVSA will be doing 50/50 throughout the day, so there will be plenty of action and entertainment happening all day long!
